Club News Letter: Spring 2005 Update
Dear Friends,
I miss you, that is to say, John misses you... Edmund's not feeling one way or the other about it. Gee, wonder why?
What was that about anyway? I know Edmund's lying below the ground now, but they had him lying above ground too! Not exactly in character...
Speaking of not lying, folks, nobody got me "fired" from AMC; I got myself out of the job. It would be easy to blame others, but that would be out of character for both John and Edmund.
One thing I wish I could go back and change was that I didn't know how deep Eva's unhappiness was in staying on the East coast. She really wanted to go home to California. I should have been more sensitive to that, instead of digging in my heels and being a typical stubborn Irishman.
So, this summer we're packing up and heading west and we'll share the raising of our daughter Kaya. Maybe not in the same house, but with a shared sense of love, guidance, and joy.
Speaking of joy, I hope those of you who were able to attend got a laugh or two (Tuesday, April 12th) at Caroline's Comedy Club in NYC where I was part of a talented comedy troupe. It was a great event, and I can assure all of you that I was able to say things Edmund could never on "AMC!"
I'm also playing the lead in the early stages of a new play by Sandy Goff that should be coming to NYC later this year. There are irons in the fire in LA, but they know I am not available until Kaya moves out there late this summer.
Keep the faith and keep in touch,
John
